One thing moving to the woods meant was learning to live with cows. We have cows on 3 sides and horses on the 4th side of our little plot of land. Now, cows are big and fences don’t always keep them in.

Before getting married and moving to the woods, I was on mom and dad’s dime and any money I made I got to spend how ever I wanted. It was a stark contrast getting married and sharing money and having to pay for the necessities that were previously provided. Looking back, I can’t believe the money I spent before getting married on clothes and other items I now call luxuries.

I spent Sunday afternoon with Jessica Quirk’s What I Wore and knee deep in my closet trying to get real with myself about what I have in there.
Read about and watch his performance from SNL on March 3rd.

I now know how those that work full time feel. This was my Saturday morning outfit that was preceded by Monday through Friday outfits. I worked 45 hours this week. A new admiration has arisen in me for my parents and all of the other adults in my lives that work that hard every week.
Saturday wouldn’t have gone as well without these pants. Despite the fact that I got them on sale and then half off again at the Anthropologie Winter sale, it was still slightly more than I usually pay for pants. These pants have been more than worth it. They are so well tailored, not that I would expect anything less from Anthro. I could speak endlessly amazing things about these pants and bore you for several more paragraphs… that is if I could manage to stay awake. Working 45 hours means I’ve slept that much less and ached that much more. A fully restful sleep beckons me.
